Siunattua toukokuuta teille jokaiselle! 

Siunattu kuukausi tosiaan: kevät merkitsee uuden alkua, on aika katsella Jumalan luomakunnan kukoistukseen heräämistä. Kukat alkavat kukkia, puut pikkuhiljaa viheriöimään, ainakin loppukuusta.

Miten voisimme ottaa vastaan kaiken tämän kauneuden elämässämme Kristuksessa? Ehkäpä näkemällä Kristuksen toisissamme, sekä heidän toimissaan? Osaammeko tunnistaa Kristuksen keskuudessamme?

Mikähän mahtaisi estää meitä tunnustamasta Kristuksen tapaamiemme ihmisten joukossa? Liekö erimielisyytemme, tai se ettemme ota aikaa kuunnella heidän kertomustaan? Vai olemmeko vain liian kiireisiä huomaamaan toista ihmistä ensinkään?

Mitä jos tämä toukuu olisi kuukausi, jolloin varaisimme aikaa tunnistamaan toisemme sellaisina, kuin  me olemme, ja aikaa ihmettelemään miten Jumala toimii kauttamme. Olkoon Pyhä Henki voiman lähteemme ja oppaamme tunnistamaan Kristuksen keskuudessamme!Rauhaa ja siunausta,

Blessed May to each one of you!

May seems to be a blessed month indeed! God’s glory comes out in its full brightness with the beautiful spring flowers, and the birds busy gathering material for their nests. Maybe spring comes a bit later this year, but it’ll come never the less. Thanks be to God!

How can we embrace all this beauty in our own lives together in Christ?  Can we find Christ in others and in their actions? What is your, our road to Emmaus? Are we able to recognise Christ in our midst?  

On the road to Emmaus Jesus is not recognised at first – I wonder, what would keep us from recognising Christ in the people we meet? Maybe when we disagree with them? Or perhaps when we don’t take time to hear their stories? Or are we simply just too busy to notice other people at all? 

May the month of May be a month for all of us to take some time to first of all recognise each other for who we are, and to notice how God is working through us. May the Holy Spirit be our strength and our guide in recognising Christ in our midst!
